Coastal hiking trail

The ecological coastal hiking trail between Benissa and Calpe invites you to discover one of the region’s most beautiful coastal landscapes over around 5.5 kilometres. Steep cliffs, turquoise-blue water and small coves lined with pine trees shape the varied panorama along the route.

Thanks to the mild Mediterranean climate, the route can be walked all year round and is suitable both for relaxed strolls and for longer hikes. Numerous information boards along the way provide details about the local flora and fauna, as well as cultural and historical highlights of the surrounding area.

A particular highlight is the section between Cala Les Bassetes and Cala La Fustera: here you will find the remains of a historic quarry from which building material was extracted in the 16th century for regional structures.

In addition, several idyllic coves along the route invite you to linger—some of them also offer restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy the view with a drink or a meal.
